Dipeptidyl Peptidase IV is a lymphocyte cell surface antigen which is increased during T-cell activation and is also expressed in other tissues, such as placenta, kidney, etc. It is an atypical serine protease which has been implicated in a variety of biological functions including diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, T-cell activation, cell-to-cell adhesion, and recently in HIV infection.

Activity: One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that hydrolyzes one umole of H-Gly-Pro-pNA per minute at 25¬ƒC, pH 7.8.

Purity: >=95% by SDS-PAGE

Prepared from tissue shown to be non reactive for HbsAG, anti-HCV, anti-HBc, and negative for anti-HIV 1 & 2 by FDA approved tests.
